Care Services
Care at Home
Conexus Care is here to support your efforts to remain living at home or in the case of a family member, to keep your loved one in familiar and comfortable surroundings by providing comprehensive in-home care services. We provide help with activities of daily living (ADLs) when a health issue or a disability has made it difficult to manage these tasks without support. Our services are provided by Health Care Assistants with the support of their care managers, a Registered General Nurse and our Head of Clinical Governance.
Day Care Centre
Conexus Care Day Care Centre is beside the church on Greencastle Road in Bonnybrook and offers health focused and enjoyable recreational and socialisation activities in a supportive warm environment. The combination of an enjoyable atmosphere and supervision promotes health and wellbeing. The Day Care Centre offers peer interactions as well as professional support and advice and will assist with any personal care needs you may have in a safe and respectful manner. Nutritious meals and snacks and special dietary needs are catered for.
Assisted Living Care – Disability Care
Whether it is helping with household tasks like cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and cooking or more personal care like bathing, hygiene and restroom assistance, at Conexus Care our staff are trained and experienced to assist.
Young People - Support Programme
Young people with disabilities aged under 18 years are at times referred by HSE Disability Services for a programme of work. A careful assessment is undertaken to ensure appropriately trained staff are available to undertake the work with Children First Training completed in addition to full Garda Clearance. The provision of family support so parents and siblings can take a break from direct care is often a priority as is goal setting by the young person themselves as they too like getting a break from their family carers, just like most teenagers.
Respite Care for Families
At Conexus Care, we know how hard it can keeping all the balls in the air while caring for a family member with a disability, ac ognitive impairment or a complex illness. While the care demands can be 24/7everyone needs a break; there is shopping to be done, appointments to keep and other family members who need your time or your presence at a football match, a dance class or the myriad of other things that need to be done to keep everyone happy.
Post-Operative Convalescence Care
Planning for post-hospital care in your home is best started before you go into hospital but if this is not possible, then a meeting should be arranged as soon as possible after your admission. Once you are ready to be discharged, there is usually a period of recovery and most patients will need help for days or weeks after they return home. This is where Conexus CareServices comes in.
Palliative Care
Palliative care is sometimes considered end of life care but medical advances have offered many people medical treatment that extends life by months and years. Here at Conesus Care, we believe palliative care can be helpful through all stages of illness helping to make treatments more tolerable; reduce suffering and to assist you in planning for future medical care while providing support for living with a life-threatening illness.
Dementia Care
The challenge of living with any form of cognitive impairment is very difficult as is the challenge of caring for a loved one who’s suffering from dementia. At times it can seem overwhelming but our professional staff can ease the burden with customised home health care services that ensure a higher quality of life for you, your loved one, and your entire family.

Family Resource Centre
Conexus Care ASTER FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER BALBRIGGAN. In 2018 Aster Family Support were successful in securing funding for the development of a new Family Resource Center (FRC) in Balbriggan.
Family Support
Conexus Care Aster Family Support works to increase a family's capacity for self-sufficiency by building on strengths, enhancing life skills and strengthening community linkages.
Household Assistance
The Household Assistance programme helps with the planning and management of household challenges like budgeting, housing issues, social welfare applications, managing bills, and signposting to other support services.
Triple P
Conexus Care Aster Family Support runs small group sessions of Triple P courses bringing families together to learn and develop new ideas.
Food Services
Meals on Wheels Services
At the core of the Meals on Wheels service is a nutritious meal, companionship and a watchful eye on the health and safety of our older generation and those with disabilities. For those who have trouble getting around, we bring the service to you. For those who can still venture out into their communities, we serve in gathering places, such as our senior centres and community kitchen facilities.
Community Kitchens
In our senior centres and community kitchens we provide a nutritious two course sit down meal service Monday to Friday at lunch time, consisting of a main meal and a dessert with tea and/or coffee to follow. We regularly host entertainment in our Community Kitchens e.g., Bingo, Movie Afternoons, and themed parties.
Catering Service
Why not treat your staff to lunch with one of our delicious treat boxes or maybe you have a meeting in your office we can cater for. Just give us 24hrs. notice and we will have it ready for you.
