Conexus Care places great emphasis on the support of our staff who provide essential services to children, families, young adults with disabilities and older people wishing to stay healthy and safe at home in our community.
Across the company, our dedicated workers went above and beyond during the pandemic, providing high quality services with care and compassion despite the risks and changes presented by the Coronavirus. There was no break in the provision of any service, indeed some services increased output in response to local need. Some meals on wheels services ceased so Conexus Care increased provision to fill the gaps moving from an average of 500 meals a week to over 2,000 meals a week at the height of the pandemic. Our family support staff ran some of the most successful cooking lessons for children on their parents, employing zoom technology when it was impossible to bring children together, the laugher and wonderful creations showed how much the initiative was appreciated.
In June, we celebrated Carers Week with all our staff and were fortunate to get a lovely sunny day as the pictures show. There was much craic, lots of fun and laughter and a host of prizes but we were left wondering how the CEO managed to win one the biggest hampers on the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mind you, he did share the contents with those present proving yet again, that conspiracy theories are wholly lacking in any truth.
